Daytime Napping 1–2 Times a Week May Benefit Heart Health

Napping is one of life’s simplest pleasures that can bring rest and relaxation to a person’s day.

It is an act that everyone has done at one point in their lives, so it is unsurprising that researchers are digging into the impact it has on a person’s heart health. Researchers looked at associations between napping frequency and napping duration, and the incidence of heart attacks, strokes and heart failure. The findings show that taking one to two weekly naps during the day is linked with a 48 percent lower chance of having a cardiovascular event, giving you one more reason to give into sleep.
