Effective treatment can reduce the risk of this decline to the same level of people without hypertension, according to a new report. Some of the key takeaways include participants 55 years and older with untreated hypertension had a more rapid rate of cognitive decline than participants with hypertension that were treated, with the rate of decline changing depending on treatment.
